Description

For those of you who have wondered about the legitimacy of using the Bible in a classroom setting, this seminar is for you.

Jess says that not only is it possible to share the Gospel through the friendships you cultivate, you can use the Word of God as a teaching tool in your lessons. This seminar will look at how reading and writing lessons can be developed using Bible stories and passages which can then often lead into direct evangelism and witnessing.

I was born in Houston, Texas but moved with my family to Sri Lanka when I was six years old and lived there until I went to university. Currently, I am an outreach worker at the Beeches Road Baptist Church in Rowley Regis and I work mainly with children, youth & international people through children & youth clubs, school assemblies, English classes, evangelistic visitation and an outreach centre in Tyseley Birmingham set in a largely international community.

Being raised in mission work and having the opportunity to travel quite a bit around the world opened my eyes to the fields white unto harvest. I went to Crown College of the Bible to study and train to be involved in mission work with an educational emphasis.

I would encourage each of us to actively seek to meet the international people in our communities and offer them friendship, help, and most of all the Gospel.

I love to travel and see new places near or far and usually take a book (or two, or three, or five…) with me.
