23.04.2026 – Telling Stories in Context: How to tell stories that connect with listeners.

£5.00

Description

They say ‘a picture paints a thousand words’ but Gemma suggests ‘a story paints a thousand pictures’. Storytelling was critical to the ministry of Jesus, and he contextualised His parables to connect with His listeners masterfully. This seminar explores how we might walk in His footsteps to connect stories with our guests in their context too.

Speaker: Gemma is a writer, storyteller and founder of Truth Be Told, a storytelling charity that tackles isolation with the hope of the gospel for those of any age, culture or ability. Truth Be Told equips churches and individuals to tell stories, just as Jesus did, in a way that will connect with listeners in their context. She is also a consultant specialising in concept development, currently working with Out of the Ark Music and the CofE’s FLOURISH pilot. Gemma lives on the Dorset coast with her husband and three children.  www.truthbetold.org.uk
