Description

This seminar will look at three basic questions for developing a workable plan for our projects: Where are we now? Where do we want to go from here? How will we get there?

We will discuss the importance of a vision and mission statement, which give the foundation for a strategic plan, as well as a variety of tools and resources that can be used to identify the plan and determine the action steps necessary to fulfil the plan.

  • Jennifer Snelling

Jennifer set up an ESL programme in 2007 at IPC, a church in Ealing, West London, as an outreach to local immigrant women. She worked there for 3 years and then went on to study a Masters degree in Development Studies. This was followed by a seasonal part-time post at the Ealing Churches Winter Night Shelter, and finally a job at Tearfund in the HIV team and in the Impact UK team. Her role at Tearfund as a Programme Advisor to partners working in poverty relief throughout the UK has given her the opportunity to support a variety of different church and Christian NGO projects that seek to alleviate the effects of poverty for those who are hardest hit by it. Jennifer is married to Mark and is currently on maternity leave, staying busy by looking after her two daughters, Abigail (2 years) and Amelia (4 months).
