Marina Swainston-Harrison joined the 2:19 team in 2017 as our Lead Specialist for church-based ESL provision and is responsible for co-ordination, support and development of ESL conversation classes and iCaf initiatives run out of UK local churches. Originally from South Africa with a culturally mixed heritage, she brings with her a deep love for foreign languages and peoples as well as experience in teaching English and Spanish.
Maura Baldwin, along with her husband David and four children, worked in Ethiopia for 11 years as missionaries with SIM. When they returned to the UK they became international workers at Carey Baptist Church in Reading and set up Bridges English Classes. They now live in Birmingham and are seeking to reach out to people within the community through English classes.
