It is with great sadness that we bid farewell to our lovely Lindsey who has been working with the team as administrator for the past 18 months.  We asked her a couple of questions about her time with the team.

What has your role as administrator entailed?

It’s been wonderful serving so many by sending out resources and answering enquiries, culminating in meeting some of you at the Forum in May. The administrator role includes supporting the team and the trustees with general admin, meetings and minutes, bookkeeping etc, so I’m privileged to have seen ‘behind the scenes’ all the prayer and hard work that goes into encouraging churches in their English outreach throughout the year.

Has anything exciting happened during your 18 months with us?

During my time here the team finished and launched the Utter Wisdom cards and the So Lord Speak animations to help teachers engage their classes. I have enjoyed using Utter Wisdom myself in my own church’s informal international club as a starter for discussion.

Have you had any particular challenges and how have you overcome them during your time with us?

Balancing parenting, church, other work and 2:19 has been the biggest personal challenge in this season – but I’m really glad I had chance to be part of the team for this time. When the whole team works part time, good communication is a challenge, but this team works hard to share updates, keep everyone ‘in the loop’ and to support and encourage each other. In my role I’ve helped transition 2:19 onto a new finance package (how exciting!) which is helping us manage our accounts more easily. I’ve learned more about UK charity law and systems which I’ll use again in other contexts.

What are your future plans?

My future plans include more hours in my other charity job as well as getting married and moving to Derbyshire, where I will definitely stay involved in the 2:19 Teach to Reach world by joining the volunteer team teaching at my new church.

Please join us in thanking Lindsey for all her hard work and praying for her as she moves to pastures new.
