Are you tired of sifting through books and online materials to find the right resources for your classroom? Do you wish that you could make your conversation classes more engaging and communicative? This session will be an interactive, hands-on workshop on how to turn everyday household objects into teaching resources in the classroom or cafe settings, thus bringing lessons to life as well as making them more relevant for your students’ real life communicative needs.
Speaker: Emma is an ESL teacher, who is currently on maternity leave from her job at the University of Birmingham where she teaches Academic English to international students during term time and coordinates and trains pre-sessional teachers over the summer semester. Prior to this she has worked in church-based language classes, ESOL classes and for 2:19 as the Midlands ESL specialist. She lives in Birmingham and is happily married to husband Benoni and mummy to baby Joy.
