Description
When writing Utter Wisdom, we commissioned works of art by artists who have been inspired by one of the proverbs in our collection. We felt that these pieces were too beautiful to stay inside the book so made them into greetings cards which can be sent to loved ones. This card has a blank inside for you to add a personal message. The proverbs drawn upon for these pieces are as follows;
- ‘Steady and gradually an egg moves on its feet’ – Ethiopian proverb (Purple)
- ‘One day is like honey, one day is like onion’ – Egyptian proverb (Black and White)
- ‘The leopard licks both its black and white spots’ – Zulu proverb (Brown)
- ‘Tie your cannoe to a star not a glow worm’ – New Zealand proverb (Blue)
- ‘A bird in the hand is better than hundreds flying’ – Ecuadorian proverb (Orange)
